KESC chief executive Jan Abbas Zaidi while addressing a press conference here Monday said this.
KESC outstanding dues had reached the mark of Rs 300 million within a year, he told. KESC had issued notices to police department repeatedly but it had not ensured payment, he indicated. 24 hours notice had been issued and if the dues were not paid within this period then the power supply to all police stations, police colonies and police head offices would be disconnected, he declared.
He alleged power theft was continuing in police colonies and illegal connections were installed therein. 4 towns of Karachi including Malir town, Lyari town, Shah Faisal town and Gulberg town have been included in defaulters list, he said.
In the event of non-payment of outstanding dues, power supply to street light at high ways of 4 towns of Karachi would be disconnected, he added.
