November 4, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: AAWW | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) has completed a public offering of 4.6 million of its common shares for $25.75 per share, including 600,000 shares purchased by the underwriters to cover over-allotments.

Morgan Stanley & Co. (NYSE: MS) and Goldman, Sachs & Co. (NYSE: GS) served as the joint bookrunning managers.

Atlas saw net proceeds of around $112.5 million. The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including the financing of capital expenditures or funding of potential acquisitions or other business transactions.

Purchase, New York-based Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings is the parent company of Atlas Air and Titan Aviation Leasing, and is the majority shareholder of Polar Air Cargo Worldwide. Through Atlas and Polar, AAWW operates a fleet of Boeing 747 freighter aircraft.

Atlas, Titan and Polar offer a range of air cargo and outsourced aircraft operating services.
