Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air report improved October load factors
ALK | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Alaska Air Group Inc (NYSE:ALK) reported on Tuesday traffic results for
its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air, for October 2009,
with both carriers posting year-on-year improvements in load factor.
Revenue passenger miles for Alaska Airlines for the month rose by 3.0%
compared to October 2008, while available seat miles dropped by 1.6%,
resulting in a load factor of 77.0%, an increase of 3.4 percentage
points.
Horizon Air's revenue passenger miles for October 2009 grew by 3.2%
compared to the same period of last year, while available seat miles
were unchanged, resulting in a rise in load factor of 2.3 percentage
points at 73.4%.
