TXT | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, today announced the
promotion of Robert Sullivan to Textron Systems' senior vice president
and chief financial officer and the retirement of John Condon, the
company's current senior vice president of Finance.
Effective January 4, 2010, Sullivan will take over responsibility for
the accounting, financial planning, analysis and reporting activities of
Textron Systems -- one of Textron's five reporting segments. Sullivan
will report to Textron senior vice president and corporate controller
Dick Yates while working directly with Frank Tempesta, Textron Systems
president and chief executive officer.
Sullivan has held leadership, finance and accounting positions of
increasing responsibility within Textron Systems over the past 25 years,
including finance director for Textron Systems working closely with the
company's operating units. For the past three years, Sullivan has served
as vice president of Finance and Administration for Textron Defense
Systems, an operating unit of Textron Systems.
"A long-standing Finance leader in our company, Bob is closely involved
in the development of our operating plans and management of our
financials. Given his extensive experience with our five operating
units, I am confident he will have an immediate and positive impact as
we look to continue our growth," said Tempesta.
Condon will remain involved into early 2010 to help facilitate year-end
close and support a smooth transition.
"John has been a strong leader through Textron Systems' impressive
growth in recent years and has been a valued member of our team for the
past 30 years. We wish him the best in retirement, and thank him for his
dedication and many contributions to Textron Systems' continued
success," added Tempesta.
