Ford to offer USD2.5bn in convertible notes

The auto firm will issue USD2.5bn (EUR1.7bn) in senior secured notes,
upsized from previously announced USD2bn, which will mature on 15
November 2016 and bear a fixed coupon of 4.25%.

The notes will convert into Ford common shares, cash or a mix of stock
and cash at Ford's will at an initial conversion price of around
USD9.30 per share.

The net proceeds of the notes, which will be issued within Ford's
existing shelf, will be used for general corporate purposes.
