'Cablecom revenues grow 6.3%, digital TV grows'

PowerRating -- Liberty Global's Swiss cable subsidiary Cablecom reports a 6.3 percent
increase in revenues for the third quarter of this year to EUR 181
million compared with EUR 170.3 million in the third quarter of 2008.
The operating cash flow grew 12.7 percent to EUR 103.2 million compared
with EUR 91.6 million in the third quarter of 2008. The capex dropped
from EUR 48 million in Q3 2008 to EUR 44.6 million in Q3 2009.
Cablecom's RGUs increased by 4,000 to 2.344,600 and its user base
increased by 2,900 to 1.59 million on 30 September of this year.
Cablecom saw its analogue TV base decrease by 3,300 during the quarter
to 1.192 million and its digital TV customer base increased by 5,500 to
362,300 on 30 September. The broadband customer base grew by 200 to
485,100 and the fixed telephony customers dropped by 2,000 to 305,100.
The customer figures include 120,100 RGUs (+2,300), 47,600 digital TV
customers (+200), 44,100 broadband subscribers (+1,300) and 28,400
telephony subscribers (+800) using the cable networks of Cablecom
partners.
