NOTICE TEXT: Department of Commerce National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division Synopsis: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division, on behalf of the NIST Electronic and Electrical Engineering Laboratory, intends to negotiate with Synopsys Inc.; Mountain View, CA, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1 (b), Soliciting from a Single Source, to acquire a renewal of the maintenance agreement for their Saber Perpetual NE and TCAD Perpetual NE software for the period of 11/15/2009 through 11/14/2010. Based on recent market research, Synopsis Inc. is the only vendor that NIST has identified that is authorized to provide maintenance and support for the Saber software. Below is a description of the items to be procured: Support Period: 11/15/2009 - 11/14/2010 1. Saber Simulator Perpetual NE Maintenance Quantity: 2; Unit: 12 Months 2. Saber Sketch Perpetual NE Maintenance Quantity: 1; Unit: 12 Months 3. Saber Inspecs Add-on Perpetual NE Maintenance Quantity: 1; Unit: 12 Months 4. Saber Template Library Add-On Perpetual NE Maintenance Quantity: 2; Unit: 12 Months 5. Saber Component Library Add-On Perpetual NE Maintenance Quantity: 1; Unit: 12 Months Support Period: 1/1/2010 - 11/14/2010 6. TCAD-Taurus-Medici Perpetual NE Maintenance (Co-Term) Quantity: 1; Unit: 10 months 7. TCAD-Taurus Modeling Environment (tmald) Perpetual NE Maintenance (Co-Term) Quantity: 1; Unit: 10 Months The NAICS Code is 511210 with a Size Standard of $25.0 million. NIST anticipates negotiating and awarding a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Synopsys Inc. for this requirement. The following standards of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 apply to this acquisition: 1194.21 1194.31 1194.41 Responsible parties that are authorized by Synopsis to sell the required renewal of the maintenance requirements set forth above may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice.
