Telcobuy wins supply chain management contract from Alcatel-Lucent

Nov 05, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- ALU | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Telcobuy, a subsidiary of the World Wide Technology Holding Company, and a provider of supply chain solutions, has secured a multi-year, national-scale, order-fulfillment and professional services contract from Alcatel-Lucent.

The five-year supply chain management contract includes end-to-end order fulfillment from warehousing to freight logistics.

Under the terms of the agreement, Telcobuy will perform order fulfillment and deployment of Alcatel-Lucent's installation-related materials, and manage its North American supply chain for finished goods.

The company will support all Alcatel-Lucent product lines and consolidate existing logistics service centers throughout the US into a single, 480,000sqft distribution center in Lewisville, Texas.
