Industry Experts to Join Special EPA-Hosted Panel on Spray Polyurethane Foam Product Stewardship

Arlington, VA, Nov 05, 2009 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- SYCP | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- The American Chemistry Council's (ACC) Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (http://www.americanchemistry.com/polyurethane)(CPI) and the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (http://www.sprayfoam.org)(SPFA) will participate on a panel discussion hosted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in conjunction with the U.S. Green Building Council's GREENBUILD 2009 (http://www.greenbuildexpo.org/Home.aspx)International Conference and Expo. Topics to be addressed include hazard communication throughout the product value chain and comprehensive training and workplace practices for the safe application and use of SPF.

Spray Polyurethane Foam is a highly effective insulation product that plays an important role in efforts to dramatically increase the energy efficiency of homes, schools and buildings.

The session, titled "What You Need to Know About the Safe Use of Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF)," will take place on Thursday, November 12, 2009, 3:45 P.M. - 5:30 P.M. It will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Regency B Meeting Room, located across the street from the Phoenix Convention Center. A new SPF Health and Safety website, www.spraypolyurethane.com, was recently launched by CPI and SPFA as part of the polyurethane industry's ongoing education and outreach efforts.
