listed John Keells Holdings (JKH) said had been appointed the
general sales agent for Air Mauritius in Sri Lanka from
November 1.

Romesh David who heads the transportation division of JKH
said it will work with the airline to develop traffic between
the two countries. Air Mauritius carries people employed in the
country and others to onward connections in Africa.

"We also plan to promote Mauritius as the transfer point for
travel to Africa and the Indian Ocean region," he said in a
statement.

David says with the return of peace to Sri Lanka Mauritian
travelers has a chance to visit Sri Lanka.

The island's military wiped out the leadership of Tamil
Tiger separatists in May bringing better prospects for the
tourism industry.
