London stock market rises in opening
BAIRY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- The London stock market slightly
rose in early trading on Friday with the FTSE 100 index up 10.75
points at 5,136.39 points.
British Airways was the top riser with its shares climbing 5.1
percent despite the airline reporting a 292-million-pound (467.2
million U.S. dollars) loss for the six months to September.
Royal Bank of Scotland was another riser after it released its
third-quarter results.
