Sales in the third quarter were USD66.4m, a decrease from USD146.3m in the third quarter last year.
Intrepid's potash sales in the third quarter were 111,000 short tons compared to 204,000 short tons in the third quarter of 2008, while potash production was 112,000 short tons compared to 200,000 short tons produced in the third quarter last year, as the company continued to manage production in response to lower customer demand.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) were USD20.8m for the third quarter of 2009.
