Shanghai Carriers Plan Disney-targeted Routes
EALN | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Several air carriers in Shanghai mull starting to fly the Disneyland park-targeted routes, after the Shanghai government recently announced that the Shanghai Disney project gained the approval from Chinese regulators.
Local airlines, such as China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd. (SEHK: 0670; SHSE: 600115) and Shanghai Airlines Co., Ltd. (SHSE: 600591), said that after the Disneyland park was completed in Shanghai, they would join hands with large tourist agencies in the provision of air ticket and hotel services, or air ticket, Disneyland ticket, and hotel service, for tourists all over the world.
For the moment, there are five runways and two terminal buildings in the Pudong Airport, Shanghai. Moreover, before the World Expo 2010 Shanghai China, a new terminal building will start service in the Hongqiao Airport of the eastern Chinese city.
The coming Disneyland park is believed to give a leg up to Shanghai towards its air hub goal. On the other hand, Shanghai will be able to meet the demand for air travel after the park is completed.
