The company has reported revenues of $410.09 million for the third quarter of 2009, compared to $602.89 million for the same quarter of 2009.
Pioneer Natural Resources has reported a net loss of $108.77 million, or $0.95 per diluted share, for the first nine months of 2009, compared to $279.42 million, or $2.32 per diluted share, for the corresponding period of 2008.
Year-to-date revenues were $1.25 billion, compared to $1.82 billion for the first nine months of 2008.
Scott Sheffield, chairman and CEO of Pioneer Natural Resources, said: "Despite a substantial reduction in drilling activity for 2009, our high-quality assets delivered production growth of 7% during the first nine months compared to last year, and we continue to expect full-year production growth of at least 5% per share."
