The brand value of SK Telecom Co., South Korea's leading mobile carrier, ranked 24th in the world with US$2.14 billion this year, up from $1.77 billion a year ago, according to Brand Finance, a global consulting firm.
KT Corp., South Korea's dominant fixed-line operator and No. 2 mobile carrier, came at 34th with $1.55 billion, the London-based consultancy said.
Britain's Vodafone ranked first with $24.65 billion, trailed by AT&T and Verizon of the United States with $19.85 billion and $18.85 billion, respectively, Hong Kong's China Mobile with $17.2 billion and France's Orange with $16.8 billion.
