POSCO starts work on steel processing plant in Turkey

PowerRating -- POSCO, South Korea's leading steelmaker, said Friday that it began construction of a plant in Turkey that will process steel used for automobiles.
The plant, when completed by June 2010, will have an annual production capacity of 170,000 tons of automotive steel, it said.
POSCO has set up steel-processing plants in Japan, China, India, Malaysia and Mexico.
The steelmaker currently operates 41 steel processing centers in 12 countries.
