ONEOK Inc. has named Terri Pirtle as the executive director of the ONEOK Foundation.
She will be assigned to coordinate activities related to the company's charitable contributions and programs, including the ONEOK Foundation, corporate contributions and ONEOK's employee volunteer program, Volunteers With Energy.
"Terri's experience in the nonprofit sector, knowledge of our company and its culture, and her demonstrated passion for community service make her an excellent choice for this important position," said John W. Gibson, ONEOK's chief executive officer and the ONEOK Foundation Board chairman. "The foundation is fortunate to have someone of Terri's caliber and experience."
Pirtle joined ONEOK in 2006, and most recently served as community investments coordinator. Before that, she worked in marketing and special projects for the Okeene Municipal Hospital, and was the director of site-based programs for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Wichita from 1997 to 2003.
A native of Fort Worth, Pirtle grew up in Sulphur and graduated from Sulphur High School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Oklahoma State University, and a master's degree in human resources and organization development from Friends University in Wichita.
She is a member of the Funders Roundtable of Tulsa, Leadership Tulsa Class 41 and Tulsa's Young Professionals. She is also a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma.
Terri and her
husband, Jaret Pirtle, have three children -- Kyndal, 10; Kolby, 7; and Karson, 6 -- in Bixby Public Schools.
