SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST:

- Guangzhou property developer Skyfame Realty (Holdings) has
become the second mainland firm in less than a month to enter
winding-up proceedings after borrowing heavily from foreign
banks and hedge funds at the height of the credit boom.

- Cathay Pacific Airways (SEHK: 0293) will replace two rows
of business seats with economy seats on its 12 Boeing 777-300
(B773) aircraft this month, a sign premium passenger demand is
lagging the pick-up seen at the rear of the plane.

- Hong Kong will probably find it cheaper to borrow money
after Moody's Investors Service improved the outlook on the
city's Aa2 government bond rating to positive from stable.

- The mainland central bank and banking regulator may soon
adopt measures to cool the sizzling property market, a Shanghai
official said.

- China Minsheng Banking Corp, seeking to raise as much as
HK$31.56 billion through a Hong Kong listing, has received
orders from institutional investors for close to three times
the international tranche of its planned initial public
offering, a banking source familiar with the deal said
yesterday.

chase for shares of China Minsheng Banking Corporation and
Sands China, both of whom kicked off their roadshows
yesterday.

- Premier Wen Jiabao urged the United States to limit the
size of its deficit to ensure a stable dollar.

- Beijing may soon issue steps to limit debt levels in the
property sector after asset prices surged this year, a Shanghai
official said.

- A small local lender has cut its mortgage rates despite
official warnings about the risks of low rates.
