J.C. Penney testing Sephora kiosks
JCP | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- J.C. Penney is testing Sephora kiosks in 20 smaller markets. The self-service machines, called ZoomShops, are from the same company that has filled airports with Apple iPod, Proactiv Solultions and Rosetta Stone shops.
You may be seeing more of these from other brands, as the trend appears to be catching on.
One of my favorites examples is from London. A company called Rollasole has installed machines selling ballerina slippers in more than 25 nightclubs. Instant foot relief costs about $10. Beats trying to make it home in heels after a long night of partying.
The idea got lots of oohs and aahs when Doneger Group creative director David Wolfe talked about new trends at the Dallas Market Center earlier this month.
