Bally Signs Agreement with SJM Macau

BYI | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Bally Technologies, Inc., a provider of slots, video machines, and casino-management systems for the global gaming industry, announced an agreement with Sociedade de Jogos de Macau S.A. (SJM), a Macau multi-casino operator, to provide casino management, table management, and bonusing products.

The agreement follows Bally's systems implementation at SJM's new L'Arc Macau Casino Resort, which opened in late September. Under the terms of the new three-year master purchase and license agreement, Bally will provide technology solutions to SJM's new Oceanus casino, which is slated to open in December 2009, as well as SJM's slot lounges at the Yat Yuen Canidrome and the Macau Jockey Club, which will implement the Bally solutions by May 30, 2010.

"We are honored to have been selected after a very aggressive evaluation process to be SJM's technology partner of choice for these three properties," said Bally's CEO Richard Haddrill. "SJM joins our other valued customers and partners in Asia-Pacific, where Bally's games and systems technology is helping casinos drive additional revenue, attract and reward players, and gain operational efficiencies."

In addition to these four properties, the new agreement provides SJM with the option to expand Bally's technology solutions at any time to any of its 16 other properties throughout the Macau Peninsula and Taipa Island.
