Mylan wins FDA approval for generic acid reflux drug

MXLBF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Mylan, a US-based generic pharmaceutical company, has reported that its Indian subsidiary, Matrix Laboratories, has received final approval from the FDA for its abbreviated new drug application for lansoprazole delayed-release capsules, 15mg and 30mg.

Lansoprazole delayed-release capsules will be sold under the Mylan Pharmaceuticals brand.

Lansoprazole delayed-release (DR) capsules are the generic version of Tap Pharmaceuticals's proton pump inhibitor Prevacid DR capsules.
