TRW establishes driver assist systems engineering center in Livonia, Michigan
TRW | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- TRW Automotive Holdings has established its second North American driver assist systems engineering center at the company's headquarters in Livonia, Michigan.
According to the company, the new engineering center will focus on the development and testing of advanced radar applications to support the company's North American customers, and will work closely with the Camera Development Center located in nearby Farmington Hills, Michigan.
The new driver assist systems (DAS) center will reportedly utilize labs and test track facilities already established in the region and will work closely with European DAS engineering centers in Birmingham, UK, and Koblenz, Germany, while coordinating with the company's radar production facility in Brest, France.
Martin Thoone, vice president of global electronics engineering for TRW, said: "We have extended our global center of competence for vision systems in Farmington Hills to include a full-fledged DAS application center for North America. We have now enhanced our customer support across the full range of DAS applications, including camera, radar and sensor fusion applications."
