Copa Holdings reports profit growth for Q3

Airlines and Aero Republica, said on Thursday that it recorded net
income of USD43.1m for the third quarter of 2009, an increase from
USD23.0m in the same period last year.

Operating income for the quarter was USD45.9m, representing an
operating margin of 14.2%, as compared to operating income of USD57.1m
for the third quarter of 2008.

Total revenues declined by 7.2% year-on-year to USD323.7m.

In its flight operations, Copa Holdings recorded an 8.5% increase in
revenue passenger miles on a 10.7% increase in available seat miles,
resulting in the consolidated load factor falling 1.5 percentage points
to 75.8%.
