AK Steel declares hike in stainless steel prices by 6% to 9%
AKS | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steel company AK Steel
(NYSE:AKS) said on Monday that the company will increase base prices
for flat rolled stainless steel products by between 6% and 9%,
effective with shipments from 3 January 2010.
The price increase is effective for all 200, 300 and 400 series flat
rolled stainless steel products and will depend upon the grade and

products. Base prices of automotive exhaust grades will increase by
USD0.04 per pound.
