ERC | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- The International Solar Energy Society (ISES) will form the world's first international solar energy technology research institute in Dezhou City, Shandong Province, east China, part of its efforts to establish a R&D platform for the international solar energy technology's exchange, Monica Oliphant, chairman of the ISES, announced yesterday.

Moreover, Himin Solar Energy Group Co., Ltd., a Chinese solar energy operator, released the 3G solar energy technology strategy on that day. As the latest solar energy technology, the 3G solar energy technology will play an important role in improving people's lifestyle and upgrading their life quality in the future, said an official from the Chinese Renewable Energy Society.

China has a solar heater capacity of 125 million square meters now, accounting for an around 76% share of the total in the world, and the nation produced 31 million square meters solar heaters in 2008, taking about 80% of the total.
