Honeywell, AVIC Cooperate in Aviation & Aerospace System
HON | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Honeywell, a leading automatic control solutions provider in the US, yesterday announced that it had entered into a strategic cooperation agreement upon the aviation and aerospace solutions supply with Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC).
Both parties are set to provide the world-class solutions for the C919 aircraft independently developed by Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. (COMAC) for a long time, via joint venture or other cooperation models.
In particular, AVIC, as the nation's leading aviation conglomerate, will team up with some of its subsidiaries, including AVIC Systems Co., Ltd. and AVIC Harbin Dongan Engine (Group) Corporation Ltd., to further deepen the partnership with Honeywell.
The US automatic control tycoon recently established a training center in Shanghai, marking that it has introduced China into its long-term global aviation and aerospace development strategy. By far, Honeywell has owned ten outlets in China, such as the maintenance and manufacturing bases of aviation and aerospace products settled in Xiamen, Nanjing, and Shanghai, respectively.
