Boeing announces first order placed by Tassili Airlines
BA | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Boeing (NYSE:BA) announced on Tuesday that Algerian carrier Tassili
Airlines has placed its first order for Boeing aircraft.
The carrier placed an order for four Boeing Next-Generation 737-800
aircraft.
Tassili Airlines is a 100% owned subsidiary of government-owned
Sonatrach Petroleum Corporation.
The new aircraft will be used to transport employees and cargo between
Algerian cities and Sonatrach work sites. Tassili plans to use the
aircraft on commercial passenger domestic and regional routes in the
near future.
