PAKISTAN TO IMPORT LNG FROM QATAR

Yusuf Raza Gilani has expressed the hope that arrangements for
the import of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from Qatar would be
finalized in the near future and both countries will make
concerted efforts to further strengthen their relations
particularly in the fields of trade, investment and economy.
The Prime Minister was talking to Hamad Ali Al-Hanzab, the
outgoing Ambassador of Qatar, who paid a farewell call on him
at the Prime Minister's House on Monday.
The Prime Minister commended the outgoing Ambassador for his
efforts to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two
countries and expressed the hope that even in his future
assignments, he as a friend of Pakistan will continue to play a
role for bringing Pakistan and Qatar ever closer.
The outgoing Ambassador of Qatar said Qatar's government was
likely to announce a special package for exporting of LNG in
the near future and the private sector of Qatar was considering
investment in Pakistan in diverse fields.
