IBM veteran Nicholas Donofrio named to AMD's board of directors

IBM veteran Nicholas M Donofrio has been appointed to its board of
directors.

Having started as a logic and memory chip designer, Donofrio rose to
head IBM's technology strategy and innovation. He retired from IBM in
2008 after contributing to IBM's award of the highest number of patents
of any company for 13 consecutive years.

Donofrio additionally serves as a board member for The Bank of New York
Mellon Corporation and Liberty Mutual, board of trustees for the
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and co-chair of the New York Hall of
Science Board of Trustees.
