bioMerieux and GlaxoSmithKline sign agreement to develop test for breast cancer
GSK | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- bioMerieux SA, a France-based developer and manufacturer of biologic diagnostic products, has signed an agreement with GlaxoSmithKline plc (GSK), a UK-based pharmaceutical and healthcare company, to develop a predictive test. This test, based on biomarkers, will be intended for use in both adjuvant and metastatic breast cancer settings.
The development of this new test will be co-funded by both companies. GSKwill bring its experience in the field of cancer and will also facilitate access to samples from several clinical trials under the collaboration. The new test will be developed by bioMerieux's global research and development (R&D) team, including its subsidiary, bioTheranostics.
