(GEN) TURKEY'S SOMALIA MISSION FRIGATE TO RETURN HOME
MGRO | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- A Turkish frigate is set to return to its base on Thursday after completing service as part of a NATO mission to fight against Somalian pirates in the Gulf of Aden.
The Turkish frigate, TCG Gediz (F-495), will dock at the Navy Command Center in Golcuk, Kocaeli, with a ceremony to welcome its 266 personnel from a five-month mission under NATO's Standing NATO Maritime Group 2.
The frigate set sail for the Gulf of Aden in June.
