DIRECTV appoints Michael White as President and CEO

DTV | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Provider of digital television services DIRECTV (NYSE:DTV) has named
Michael White as its new President and CEO, effective 1 January 2010.

The company said that White has also joined its board of directors.

White is currently CEO of PepsiCo International and vice chairman of
PepsiCo. Prior to that he has held many senior positions in PepsiCo,
including CFO of FLNA, executive vice president and CFO of Frito-Lay
International, CFO of Pepsi-Cola Company worldwide and CFO of PepsiCo.

Earlier he held executive positions at Avon Products Inc, Bain &
Company and Arthur Andersen & Co.
