Morgan Stanley runs Commercial Bank of Qatar's USD1.6bn notes offering

co-ordinator of Commercial Bank of Qatar's (DOH:CBQK) succesfully
closed issuance of USD600m (EUR403.6m) 10-year 7.5% subordinated lower
tier 2 notes and USD1bn 5-year 5% senior notes.
Credit Suisse (VTX:CSGN) as joint bookrunner of the transaction.
The completion of the operation was announced today.
The dual-tranche transaction generated significant investor interest
with more than 300 investors placing orders in excess of USD6.75bn,
making the offer more than four-times oversubscribed.
The bank issued the bonds via its subsidiary CBQ Finance Ltd and will
use the proceeds to repay a USD380m syndicated loan facility and to
fund future growth.
