BRIEF: Hollywood Casino fined $24,000 for allowing underage gamblers to play slots
HWD | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Hollywood Casino will pay a $24,000 fine after the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board found it allowed underage gamblers to place wagers on three separate occasions in July and August. State law bans anyone under the age of 21 from playing slot machines.
According to the Gaming Control Board, the first incident occurred on July 4, when a 20-year-old male played the slots for over an hour. On August 2, a 19-year-old male played the slots for 19 minutes and an 18-year-old female played them for over two hours on August 15.
The fines were part of a consent agreement between the Board and the Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association, which operates the casino. The Board has levied a fines on a total of six occasions statewide, totaling over $210,000 in the past two years for similar violations in the state's slots parlors.
