Opera Software renews deals with Google
GOOG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- 20 November 2009 - Norwegian web browser technology developer Opera
Software ASA (OSL: OPERA) said today it has renewed two agreements with
US group Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) to integrate Google as default search
engine in Opera browsers.
Under the first deal, Google will be included as search engine on
Opera's mobile web browsers Opera Mobile and Opera Mini. The contract
replaces the deal, which the companies signed in February 2008 and runs
through October 2011. The term can be extended to 30 October 2012.
At the same time, Opera has signed a contract extension for Google as
the default search engine in the Opera desktop browser by 31 March
2012. The deal covers all language versions of the browser.
