EF Johnson awarded USD3.1m contract by US Coast Guard

(Nasdaq: EFJI | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) said on Friday that 3e Technologies International
(3eTI), its subsidiary, has received a USD3.1m contract from the US
Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).

The company will provide secure broadband capability on vessel boarding
inspection system.

Under the terms of the contract the company will provide engineering
and technical services as the lead integrator of communications and
weapons of mass destruction (WMD) sensor technology integration with
the Vessel Boarding Inspection System (VBIS).

VBIS supports US Coast Guard and US Navy in expanded maritime
interdiction operations (EMIO) missions.
