AUSTRALIA'S RAMSAY HEALTH CARE REAFFIRMS FULL YR PROFIT GUIDANCE

operator Ramsay Health Care Ltd (ASX:RHC) has reaffirmed its
full year profit guidance and says its underlying business is
in excellent shape.
In a presentation to shareholders at the company's annual
meeting, managing director Christopher Rex said the first four
months of the financial year had progressed in line with
expectations.
He reaffirmed Ramsay's full year guidance of core net profit
growth of 12 to 14 per cent on last financial year's A$106.47
million (US$98.41 million) result.
Ramsay is continuing to pursue acquisition opportunities in
Europe, Mr Rex said.
Ramsay's core business is in Australia and Indonesia. It
entered the UK market in September 2007 with the acquisition of
a private hospitals operator.
Its shares were down 14 cents, or 1.24 per cent, to A$11.16
at 1157 AEDT.
