Dell unveils USD2m Dell YouthConnect programme in China
DELL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Computer maker Dell Inc (NASDAQ-NMS:DELL) declared on Tuesday the
launch of the USD2m Dell YouthConnect programme in Beijing, China.
Dell YouthConnect is a global programme designed to support education
and digital inclusion initiatives for underserved young people.
The company has donated USD2m in cash and in-kind grants to two
non-profit organisations, the China Education Development Foundation
(CEDF) and the China Youth Development Foundation (CYDF).
Previously Dell has donated over USD740,000 to set up 25 Dell Learning
Centers in 15 cities across China since 2006.
Dell YouthConnect has also been launched in Brazil, India and Mexico
and the programme will be rolled out in four more countries by the end
of 2009, the company said.
