BRIEF: Rascal Flatts, WWE 'Raw Live' coming to Central Illinois venues

CILL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Superstars from the worlds of country music and pro wrestling have been added to the winter slates of two Central Illinois arenas.

Coming Feb. 18 to the Peoria Civic Center Arena in Peoria are country threesome Rascal Flatts, along with special guest Darius Rucker.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show are $49.75 and $65, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 5 at the Civic Center box office and area Ticketmaster locations.

Formed in Columbus, Ohio, 10 years ago, Rascal Flatts has scored 25 hit singles over the course of six studio albums, including 10 that reached No. 1.

Rucker is best known as the lead singer and guitarist for rockers Hootie & The Blowfish.

Wrestling at U of I venue

Coming Jan. 24 to the University of Illinois Assembly Hall in Champaign is World Wrestling Entertainment's "Raw Live," featuring a WWE Championship match between John Cena and The Big Show.

Tickets for the 3 p.m. event are $15 to $50, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 4, via the Assembly Hall box office and area Ticketmaster locations.

Other scheduled matches include Triple H vs. Randy Orton and Evan Bourne vs. The Miz.
