Positron Installs Attrius PET Scanner at Heart Center

POSC | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Positron announced the installation of their Attrius PET System into the office of Michael E. Merhige, M.D., located within The Heart Center of Niagara, Niagara Falls, New York.

The Attrius is a PET scanner optimized for myocardial perfusion imaging. The Attrius is a standalone full ring PET system, manufactured through Positron's joint venture, Neusoft Positron Medical Systems.

"It is exciting to see our vision of a dedicated cardiac PET scanner come to fruition," said Tim Gabel, Positron's VP of Engineering and Operations. "We are confident that our long term customers, like Dr. Merhige, will be eager to see that their feedback and suggestions have been implemented into the design of the Attrius and that our new customers will enjoy the benefit of over 25 years of experience in clinical PET that the Attrius has to offer.

Positron is a molecular imaging company focused on Nuclear Cardiology. Positron utilizes its proprietary product line to provide solutions to the Nuclear Medicine community ranging from imaging to radiopharmaceutical distribution.
