US Airways and TACA Airlines enter codeshare agreement covering travel in the US and Latin America
LCC | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- US Airways (NYSE:LCC) announced on Tuesday that, following approval
from the US Department of Transportation, it has entered into a new
codeshare agreement with TACA Airlines which will go into effect on 12
January 2010.
Under the agreement US Airways customers travelling from the US to
Latin America will be able to connect on flights operated by TACA
Airlines through its hubs in San Salvador, El Salvador; San Jose, Costa
Rica; and Lima, Peru, as well as Guatemala, Belize, Honduras and
Nicaragua.
In return TACA customers will have greater access to US Airways'
markets in the US and beyond through connections from Charlotte, North
Carolina.
Tickets for the codeshare services will be available to purchase from 5
December.
