SHC orders KESC restore power to teachers body, two firms
TKESF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Justice Maqbool Baqir of Sindh High Court Tuesday directed Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) to restore power supply earlier disconnected to a teachers association and two other firms.
Plaintiffs M/s Karsaz, a local teachers association & M/s Branded Partners instituted lawsuit against defendant KESC, claiming Rs 30 million as damages.
Their counsel stated KESC demanded alleged unlawful arrears from plaintiffs & disconnected electricity to their offices two weeks ago without prior notice or opportunity. Several applications were moved Electricity Inspector, other authorities but in vain.
He prayed to direct KESC restore power supply or pay Rs 30 million as damages.
Justice Maqbool Baqir issued notice to KESC MD & Electricity Inspector. Meanwhile, power supply was ordered to be restored to plaintiffs.
