Alcatel-Lucent and Integ expand communications alliance

ALU | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Telecoms equipment company Alcatel-Lucent and Integ Communications, an integrator of secure voice, data infrastructure and IP business applications to organizations across Australia, have formed a partnership to provide carrier grade communications applications to Australian verticals including mining, utilities, energy and government.

The collaboration includes IP/MPLS and optical transmission applications, and will combine the capabilities of both the companies' end-to-end integration services, tailoring solutions based on project complexity and customer needs.

The companies have earlier worked with Creator Tech to assist in the development of a sustainable partnership, sound mutually agreed objectives and joint sales plans.

Ian Poole, CEO at Integ, said: "Partnering with Alcatel-Lucent provides a great opportunity for us to broaden our portfolio further and leverage the strong capabilities we have in network integration into the communications networking area. We have an extremely successful existing partnership in the enterprise voice and data space, so extending into the carrier grade networking space is a logical next step to make together, with the aim of growing our combined market reach."

Earlier this month, Alcatel-Lucent venture touchatag and Clear2Pay, a worldwide payment solutions provider, announced a partnership to create a mobile payment framework for mobile operators.
