BRIEF: PNC continues conversion of National City accounts

PNC | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- PNC Financial Services Group plans to convert accounts of some 3 million National City Bank customers and 1,100 branches outside Pennsylvania in the next seven months. PNC, which acquired National City last December, converted 240 branches and 1.8 million accounts in Western Pennsylvania, Youngstown, Ohio, and Florida on Nov. 9. To complete the rebranding, the bank will convert National City branches and accounts elsewhere in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and Missouri in phases by next June.
