Diageo values S. Korea's most expensive whisky at 300 mln won
DEO | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Diageo Korea Co., the South Korean unit of the world's largest liquor maker Diageo Plc, said Monday it has set the price of South Korea's most expensive whisky at 300 million won (US$257,870) per bottle.
Diageo Korea, with the help of its Britain-based parent company, produced 12 bottles of the "Windsor Diamond Jubilee" in Scotland in a bid to promote the domestic whisky brand "Windsor" worldwide, the company said.
A 700-milliliter bottle of the Windsor Diamond Jubilee contains 17.5 servings, worth over 17 million won each, according to the bottle price.
Two bottles have already been brought into South Korea, with another four expected to arrive within the year. Each of the remaining six bottles will be sent to different regions, including China and Southeast Asia, to mark the brand's launch on the world market.
