SHANGHAI, Dec 01, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --
NCTY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- The9 Limited (Nasdaq: NCTY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) is expected to close its negotiations with South Korean online game companies over the export of proprietary online action game World of Fighter (WOF), and to release related information on December 4, disclosed a person in the know.

Chris Shen, marketing vice president of the Chinese online game developer and operator, says that he has no knowledge about the talks, and his company will announce the news to the public once the final agreement is reached.

Days ago, media reports exposed that The9 was frequently contacting with South Korean peers, inviting the latter's top executives to discuss cooperation in game operation.

Analysts believe that The9 is looking for strengths that are able to take the place of World of Warcraft (WoW), after it lost the operation right of the online game masterpiece developed by Activision Blizzard (Nasdaq: ATVI). Currently, The9 is launching an alpha test of WOF. An open beta test is due to be kicked off for the game at the end of 2009.
