Adams Respiratory Therapeutics reports approval from FDA for grape-flavoured Delsym

Oct 02, 2007 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- ARXT | charts | news | PowerRating -- Adams Respiratory Therapeutics Inc (Nasdaq: aARxT), a specialty pharmaceutical company, reported on 1 October that the company has received approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its supplemental New Drug Application for a grape-flavoured formulation of Delsym Extended-Release Suspension for 12-hour non-prescription liquid cough suppressant.

The company said it will begin distribution of grape Delsym product to its trade customers with immediate effect.

Delsym is an over-the-counter (OTC) liquid that reportedly controls cough for a full 12 hours with a single dose, providing all day or all night cough suppression with each dose. The patented single-ingredient formula is currently available for both children and adults.
