"I love beating people up," said the current Ohio Valley Wrestling women's champ. "I'll do whatever it takes to win; lie, cheat, whatever. Hearing the 1-2-3 is all that matters to me. It's priceless."
Before coming to OVW, Roucka was training for K-1, a form of mixed martial arts, and doing some modeling on the side. Then she heard about the World Wrestling Entertainment's Diva Search, and she decided to enter the 2006 competition, where she finished as a semi-finalist. The WWE then signed her to a developmental contract in August of that year and sent her to OVW for training. "It couldn't have worked out better for me," Roucka said.
Since coming to OVW, Roucka, despite her beauty, hasn't made too many fans. Of course, that might be due to the fact that she aligned herself with Mike W. Kruel, one of the most hated men in OVW.
"I respect Mike," Roucka said when asked why she joined his stable. "He's a very talented guy. I'm like the female version of him. I respect him so much. He's amazing."
Not many people share her respect for Kruel. Of course, that really doesn't concern her. Winning is all that matters to her. That, and "The Roucka Show," which airs during OVW broadcasts.
The show was originally "Kat's Cradle," and was hosted by Katie Lea. When Lea went overseas for a trip, Roucka jumped at the chance to take over the spot.
"It's my show now," Roucka said. And what about when Lea returns? "She's going to have to deal with it. I'm the champ. She hasn't done anything." One thing's for sure: She doesn't lack for confidence.
When asked who she considers the top contenders for her belt, the answer was simple: Nobody.
"I'm the best," she said. "I'm sure Kat (Katie Lea) will be trying to get the title back, but I plan on keeping it around this beautiful, Latino waist."
While modeling, Roucka said she felt like something was missing from her life. An extremely competitive and feisty person, she was looking to show people a different side of her. Once she found wrestling, she knew this was what she had been looking for.
"It's a passion of mine," Roucka said. "Fighting, wrestling, martial arts. I really enjoy performing in front of people, whether they cheer me or boo me. I guess you could say I'm an adrenaline junkie."
Before getting into the sport, Roucka watched wrestling, and idolized Trish Stratus and the late Sherri Martel. "I'm sad that she's not with us anymore," Roucka said of Martel, who passed away recently. While she loved watching those two wrestle, she tries to be herself in the ring.
"What you see is pretty much me," Roucka said. "My personality is aggressive, confident and cocky. I want to be myself."
And while getting the call up to the WWE is every wrestler's goal, Roucka said right now she's just concentrating on her OVW title, which she won from ODB.
"I always live for right now," she said. "It's in God's hands. I just live for the moment."
Her ultimate goal is to be the best women's champion ever, and to perfect her craft.
"I'm in this for the long haul," she said. "I'm not in this just to be on television. I want to be the best I can be, and I want people to respect me. Coming from modeling, that makes it harder. But I want people to look at me not as a model, but as a great athlete." She added that wrestling has been very challenging, and she now knows this is what she wants to do.
"I haven't been so sure about what I wanted to do in life as I am about wrestling," Roucka said.
And she has this message for the fans in London.
"I work hard, so you better respect me," Roucka said. "I don't care if you like me or not, just respect me. For those that love and cheer me, thank you very much. And respect Mike Kruel as well, Disrespecting him is like disrespecting me."
