Unify reports turnaround in Q2

Nov 30, 2007 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- UFYC | charts | news | PowerRating -- Unify Corporation, a global provider of application modernization software, has reported that its net income was $692,000, or $0.10 per share, for the second quarter of fiscal 2008, compared to a net loss of $187,000, or $0.03 loss per share, in the second quarter of fiscal 2007.

Total revenues were $4.9 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2008, up 126% as a result of organic and acquisition related growth when compared to $2.2 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2007. Software licenses revenue stood at $1.9 million, an increase of 146% compared to $785,000 for the fiscal second quarter in 2007. Services revenue was $3 million for the quarter, up 115%, compared to $1.4 million for the same quarter of fiscal 2007.

For the first six months of fiscal 2008, net income was $473,000, or $0.07 per share compared to a net loss of $941,000, or $0.16 loss per share, for the same period of fiscal 2007.

Todd Wille, CEO of Unify, said: "Our second quarter results were driven by the 146% growth we reported in our new software license revenues as a result of organic and acquisition related growth - the largest growth we've experienced in years."
