Thai Airways Pakistan launches Tokyo Express

Karachi, Dec 14, 2007 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) -- TAWNF | charts | news | PowerRating -- Thai Airways International has announced the launch of its Tokyo Express, the fastest air travel service from Pakistan to Tokyo offered by any airline operating in the country. Tokyo Express will serve the business community of both the countries with convenient and efficient air route. Japan is one of the biggest business partners of Pakistan.

According to a market data, there were approximate 7,000 passenger travelled from Pakistan to Tokyo in 2006, 1700 from Karachi and 1800 from Lahore. Tokyo Express will operate from Karachi and Lahore simultaneously. The flight TG502 will take off from Karachi at 11.55 p.m. and will arrive in Bangkok next day to continue its flight onward with fairly immediate connection on TG676 at 08.20 am that will touch Tokyo soil at 04.00 p.m. same day.

Mr. Kittiphong, GM Thai Airways while speaking to media last evening said: The total travel time with this flight pattern from Karachi to Tokyo including transit time in Bangkok is 12 hours and 5 minutes with only one intermediate stop in Bangkok for transit. Lahore passenger can benefit from the service in the same flight pattern from Lahore.

He further informed that the passengers can also enjoy convenient connection on the return trip through the fastest service by Thai Airways from Tokyo to Karachi and Lahore via Bangkok. Apart from Tokyo, Thai Airways also serving three more destinations in Japan that includes Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka, he added.
